Dr Yong Yi currently works as a Professor-level Senior Engineer in China Southern Power Grid Co Ltd. His researches focus on battery energy storage system, novel dielectricmaterial for application of electrical power system; condition monitoring for smart electrical grid; machine learning for high-temperature polymer-based dielectrics; conductor aginginsmart electrical grid; high voltage engineering. He is a reviewer of about 20 international Journals. He is editorial members of 4 international Journals. He was 5 conference chairs. He authored and co-authored over 80 journal publications. He is a senior member of IEEE. He has attracted more than 1 million dollars in research grants from industrial partners, National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc.

He has received the best research papers awards at IEEE ICIT-2013, IET-SEISCON-2013, SIGMA 2018, CENCON 2019, ICRP 2020 and GUCON 2021. He has published widely in International Journals and Conferences his research findings related to Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Sources. Dr. Iqbal has authored/co-authored several research papers in top journals and three books and three chapters in two other books. He has supervised several large R&D projects and several Ph.D. and Master’s students. His principal area of research interest is the Modeling and Simulation of Power Electronic Converters, energy Transition for net-zero, Control of multi-phase motor drives, Renewable Energy sources, Smart Grids, Energy security, and Electric Vehicle Drive Systems

Adrian Ioinovici, IEEE Fellow,is the Director of the Power Electronics based on Switched Capacitors (PESC) Center,the Shanghai University of Electrical Power, China, within the “one thousand foreign experts plan”, and holds honorary professorships from many universities He got the IEEE Fellow grade for “pioneering work in switched-capacitor converters” and served as Associate Editor for many IEEE Transactions. He authorized the books Computer-Aided Analysis of Active Circuits (New York: Marcel Dekker, 1990) and Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Systems, Volume 1: Fundamentals and Hard-switching Converters (Wiley, 2013). His main research interests are switching-capacitor converters and inverters, large dc gain converters, soft-switching converters.He published over 200 papers in IEEE Transactions and conferences.

Dr Ruomei LI is the Chair of Women in Power (WIP) Chair of IEEE PES, WIP Liaison in IEEE WIP, member of LRP in PES. She is senior member of IEEE. She has been PES WIP chair of China since 2018. Ruomei is the initiator and organizer of international women engineers events in power and energy field in Chinasince 2012. She is the CIGRE WIE Chair/Co-Chair in 2013~2018. She is now in Board of Supervisors of CWAST (China Women’s Association for Science and Technology). Ruomei Li is now the Invited Research Fellow of Energy Internet Research Institute in Tsinghua University since 2015. Before, she was the Deputy Secretary General/Secretary General of CSEE, during 2004~2013, responsible for the management of the society with 120,000 membership. She has made important contributions in speeding up the internationalization process of power and energy engineers in China, and promoted the partnership with IEEE, CIGRE, CIRED, ICEE, WFEO, IET, ASME, ABB, Siemens and GE. Ruomei LI received her Ph.D. from University of Bath, UK, in 2000; M.E. from CEPRI in 1989; and B.E. from Hefei University of Technology, China, in 1982. During 1994~1995, Ruomei has been in UMIST, UK, upon Lee Kai Hueng Fellowship Foundation. Ruomei started her career as electrical engineer in 1982, in Power Dispatching Center of Anhui Provincial Power Bureau, China, for 4 years. From 1989 to 1994, she is in China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), as researcher and project manager, in the fields of power system simulation, planning and operation control. During 1994~1995 in UMIST, UK, she has done the work of reliability and economic assessment on the system with pumped storage. Ruomei LI has worked in power electronics field since 1996. From 2000~2004, Ruomei is the Chief Engineer of S&T Dept of CEPRI, one of her main achievement is on real-time digital simulation of complex power system. Ruomei LI is the moderator of Major Group of S&T in The Asian and Pacific Regional Implementation Meeting on Rio + 20 Outcomes, Bangkok, 2013. She participated UN CSW event in New York every year from 2017 to 2019, being speakers in parallel events several times. Ruomei LI is the recipient of IEEE PES Wanda Reder Pioneer in Power Award in 2019.

Song Hongwei, male, born in October 1967, is a professor, doctoral supervisor, national leading talent, winner of the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, senior expert of Jilin Province, Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professor of Jilin University; member of the Luminescence Professional Committee of the Chinese Rare Earth Society, member of the Luminescence Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, editorial board member and standing committee member of the Journal of Luminescence, distinguished professor of East China University of Technology, Ningbo University, and Nanyang Normal University, and reviewer of more than 30 international journals such as JACS and ACS Nano. He is mainly engaged in the research of rare earth nanoluminescent materials, photonic crystal materials, optoelectronic devices and biological applications. So far, he has published more than 180 SCI papers in important international academic journals such as Chem. Mater., Small, Nano. Res., Chem. Comm., and published 2 chapters of English monographs. He has been cited more than 3,000 times by SCI, including more than 2,400 times by others, with an H-factor of 32. Won the second prize of National Natural Science Award (ranked second), the first prize of Jilin Province Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked second), the second prize of Natural Science Award of Excellent Scientific Research Achievement Award of Higher Education Institutions (ranked first) and the International Exchange Award of Japan Ceramic Association and other academic awards. In the past five years, he has undertaken projects such as the National 973 Program, the 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education, with a total funding of more than 5 million yuan

Professor Songül Fiat Varol is working in Manisa Celal Bayar University in Electric and Energy department. Her main research interests have been materials science especially technology of semiconductor materials and devices including solar cells, light emitting diodes (LEDs/OLEDs). She has published more than 30 scientific papers in this field in the internationally recognized journals. She has supervised 1 Ph.D. and 5 M.Sc. studies. She has coordinated many national/ international projects and joined more than 40 international scientific conferences and meetings as invited speaker/speaker/organising committee member. In 2010, she conducted various researches on Chalcopyrite Solar Cells with Professor Michael Kompitsas (Director of Research Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute -National Hellenic Research Foundation)and his team in Laser-based Techniques and Applications - LATA in Greece through the “Tubitak 2214 International Research Fellowship Programme for PhD Students”. She has published in high-ranking SCI-expanded journals on the production and characterization of many organic/inorganic-based thin-film materials that are the most trending in science like ZnO, TiO2, CuInGaSeTe, Nitrides (GaN, AlN) etc. She still continues her research on Organic/Inorganic LED and PV device production and improvement of their properties.

Dr. Alhalaili is an associate research scientist at the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials program at KISR. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with concentration in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2007. In addition, she holds M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the same school in 2008. She completed an online postgraduate in nanotechnology, which is offered by Oxford University in 2010. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from UC Davis in 2019. Her Ph.D. work focuses on gallium oxide (Ga2O3) growth, etching, device fabrication, and characterizations. This research is very important for the field of UV sensors and high-power electronics. Dr. Alhalaili has developed “A novel technique for the growth of gallium oxide nanowires”. Dr. Alhalaili has already authored a number of publications on Ga2O3 synthesis and devices. Her research focuses on the nanofabrication, nanodevices, nanosensors, wideband gap materials, and nanomaterials for applications in harsh environment and renewable and sustainable energy.
